Love this place! You legit can't go wrong with any menu item. I've been going here for years. Everyone I've brought here falls for this restaurant, too. A hidden gem in the Rocky Hill area!
We've done takeout and have dined in and the food is consistently good! Mostly good experiences, but one major complaint, below. We are local and want to support this business! We like the sushi specials. The dining room ambience is just OK, kind of dark and very brown. The young gentleman that is usually there is efficient, but pretty quiet and reserved. Not super welcoming. My big complaint, and why I am compelled to write this review, is that we brought some guests and ate at one of the 2 large round tables with the turntables in the middle. We thought this would be fun to share multiple dishes, and it would be, if that middle 'lazy Susan' turning part actually turned smoothly, and if the glass was clean and not smeared from the last cleaning. Even worse, and the reason for the review, was the used flimsy dollar store type plastic tablecloth on there. You can tell it was reused, who knows how many times. Gross! We should have asked for a fresh one. Come on, guys! It was embarrassing bringing people there nevermind unsanitary, not to mention we spent a good amount on the meal. It's not hard to source tablecloths even if you have to take them home to wash them. Clean this up and we'll gladly be back often with others!

Stopped in while visiting Knoxville. What a great hidden gem. Friendly staff and the crispy pork belly was excellent. Also got a beef chow fun to take back to the hotel. No pics unfortunately. But the taste is spot on. One of the best I've had in the US.
I waited to try several things on the menu before reviewing. Everything I've tried here has been excellent. As someone who was never a fan of typical "Chinese takeout", I have to say Vincent and the family at Ichiban have fully converted me. The ORANGE CHICKEN IS INCREDIBLE. Ask Vincent for suggestions, since they are Cantonese, go for the more traditional Cantonese dishes...you will not regret it.
Ichiban is now officially one of top favorite restaurants in Knoxville. This is one of those places that you could pick any item off the menu and have it come out absolutely delicious and allow you to explore new and exciting dishes. I recommend getting an entree for each person on your party, plus one extra. Then as the food comes out, fill up your plates and enjoy the delicious food experience. It's hard to pick a favorite menu item but if you want some suggestions I would absolutely recommend the Singapore rice noodles, fried green beans, and something from their chicken menu.
